Plastic Media

This Low Density Plastic Media enables fine finishes to be imparted on metals and plastics which hitherto had been impossible without surface impingement or work hardening of the surfaces. It eliminates costly hand polishing and provides surfaces ready for electroplating, anodising or painting. It is extensively used for deburring, deflashing, radiusing, polishing, burnishing and surface improvement of all metals and plastics. Economic in use, the Media will not chip or fracture, and generally retains its configuration throughout its life, thus increasing its economy of use.

Type 'HI-CUT'

For extra fast cutting and the fast removal of heavy burrs and flash from all metals also the finishing of stainless steel parts. Contains medium aluminium oxide with a higher amount of resin. Medium depreciation.

Type 'PCH'

For faster deburring, medium finishing, and surface improvement of all metals, particularly aluminium leaving it a natural colour when finished with metered water only, and when used with an appropriate compound, an extremely fine smooth finish may be obtained. Contains a synthetic abrasive and higher quality of resin. Low depreciation.

Type 'PH'

For slightly faster deburring, medium finishing, and surface improvement of all metals. It works harder and faster in the flash removal of non-ferrous metals, thus saving valuable machine process time. When used with an appropriate compound a smooth bright fine finish may be obtained. Contains a course abrasive and a very high quality of quality resin. Very low depreciation.

Type 'UF'

For general purpose deburring and surface improvement of all metals, particularly non-ferrous, to a pre-plate/ pre-anodised finish, the media is low foaming and has the advantage of initial low price. Contains medium quartz and is manufactured from non-petroleum resin. Medium depreciation.

Type 'PC'

For normal deburring, fine finishing, and surface improvement of all metals, particularly aluminium to a pre-anodised finish. Contains fine quartz with a higher than normal resin content. Low depreciation.

Type 'P'

For general polishing/ fine finishing and surface improvement of all metals. Contains very fine selected quartz. Very low depreciation.

Type 'P67'

A new alternative to conventional media offering qualities and depreciation rates a similar to ceramic media. It is extremely low in density and its initial cost is more than compensated by its cost effective performance. Extremely low depreciation.

Type 'RS'

For polishing and fine finishing and surface improvement of most metals and plastics. Contains a higher percentage of resin and fine quartz. Low depreciation.

Type 'MF'

For ultrafine improvement of surface providing a very low surface texture on all metals and plastics. This is a mid range media offering properties somewhere between 'RS' and 'PA'. Very low depreciation.

Type 'PH1'

For ultrafine surface improvement and in particular the generation of extremely bright and high lustered colour to the surface of all metals, when used with a burnishing compound. Contains ultrafine treated quartz. Extremely low depreciation.

Type 'PA'

For very low fine finishing and very fine surface improvement of all metals, for use where surface finish is more important then any cutting or deburring. Contains Alumina and a higher quantity of resin. Extremely low depreciation.

Lodgement Problems

As a manufacturer of plastic finishing medias, we can design and manufacture special medias to suit individual requirements.
